What it’s about. Schon seit mehr als zehn Jahren versucht Bennie Chan (Jackie Chan), ein Ermittler aus Hong Kong, den berüchtigten Gangsterboss Victor Wong (Winston Chao) dingfest zu machen. Als sich seine Patentochter Samantha (Bingbing Fan) dann auch noch Probleme mit Wongs Gangsterbande einhandelt, spürt Chan am anderen Ende der Welt den Verantwortlichen auf: den amerikanischen Glücksspieler Connor Watts (Johnny Knoxville). Mit ihm an der Hand könnte Chan aber nicht nur Samatha retten, sondern auch endlich den langjährigen Gegenspieler zu Fall bringen, denn der Glücksspieler hat belastende Informationen über den Verbrecherboss. Jetzt muss der Ermittler Watts nur noch rechtzeitig zurück in seine Heimat bringen. Ein Wettlauf gegen die Zeit beginnt, der das ungleiche Paar quer über den Globus führt...
