What it’s about. Der schüchterne Bablu (Shah Rukh Khan) ist ein ziemlicher Versager, der sogar noch im Bett seiner Mutter (Farida Jalal) schläft. Nun scheint ihm das Glück jedoch hold, als er von der schönen Sonia Kapoor (Juhi Chawala) als Hotelkoch eingestellt wird. Gerade als sich die beiden auch privat näher kommen, wird Bablu verhaftet. Die Polizei hält ihn für Manu (Shah Rukh Khan), einen gefährlichen Raubmörder, der aus dem Knast ausgebrochen ist. Die Verwechslung wird zwar aufgelöst, doch fortan schwebt Bablu in Lebensgefahr.
