What it’s about. Der skrupellose Gangsterboss Eddie (Bruce Willis) nimmt die attraktive Diebin Karen (Claire Forlani) als Geisel, da sie ihm einen Deal vermasselt und die versprochene Ware nicht geliefert hat. Damit erpresst er ihren ehemaligen Freund Jack (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), der seine Brötchen einst auch als Dieb verdiente. Er soll eine wertvolle Fracht mit Diamanten abfangen und Eddie die Steinchen liefern. Jack bleibt nichts anderes übrig, er trommelt sein eingespieltes Team zusammen und macht sich an die Arbeit, um den gefährlichen Raub zu begehen. Die Aktion verläuft erfolgreich und die Truppe kann das wertvolle Gut in ihren Besitz bekommen. Bei der Übergabe der Edelsteine geht allerdings etwas schief, denn der Geiselnehmer denkt gar nicht daran, die Vereinbarung einzuhalten…
