What it’s about. Der sympathische Keith taucht in einer ländlichen US-Gemeinde auf und gewinnt auf Anhieb das Herz der jungen Mutter Christine, die mit ihrem querschnittgelähmten Sohn allein lebt. Keith macht auf Christine einen derart soliden Eindruck, daß sie ihn bereits nach einem kurzen Flirt heiratet. Sehr zum Mißtrauen ihres Sohnes allerdings, der ein Computerkid ist, den Namen des Daddys erstmal durch die Polizeicomputer schickt und auf den klassischen Mann ohne Vergangenheit stößt. In der Tat entpuppt sich der neue Vater als gefährlicher Psychopath, der unter wechselnden Identitäten bereits zwei Familien in unberechenbaren Haßausbrüchen umgebracht hat. Und wie es so oft kommt: dem Kind will niemand glauben...
