What it’s about. Rechtsanwältin Adela (Assumpta Serna) verteidigt gezielt Kriminelle, die aus armen Verhältnissen stammen. Sie gibt dem System die Schuld und überzeugt Richter aufs Neue, um Minimalstrafen zu erzielen. An einem Wochenende überrascht eine Bande von Räubern die Verteidigerin und ihre Familie auf dem Lande, wobei ihr Mann versehentlich getötet wird. Obwohl der Vorfall ein Unfall war, sorgt Adela dafür, daß ein verhaftetes Bandenmitglied sehr hart bestraft wird. Wenig später wird der Junge Mann tot in seine Zelle aufgefunden. Sein Bruder schwört daraufhin blutige Rache...
