What it’s about. Die Polizistin Anna Manni fahndet nach einem Serienvergewaltiger und Killer. Dieser macht einen Treffpunkt in den Uffizien in Florenz aus, wo Anna ihn stellen will. Dort jedoch erleidet Anna einen Anfall des so genannten Stendhal-Syndroms, eine Art bewusstseinsverwirrender Zustand, der manchmal unter dem Einfluss großen Stresses auftritt. Kurz darauf entführt und vergewaltigt der Killer sie, während sie ständig aufs Neue von Anfällen überwältigt wird.
