What it’s about. Ein flammender Komet landet mitten im Wald. Mike und Debbie finden an der Einschlagsstelle allerdings keinen Krater, sondern ein buntes, leuchtendes Zirkuszelt. Im Inneren erwartet sie das Grauen, denn es handelt sich bei dem Zelt um ein außerirdisches Raumschiff, und die Aliens, die aussehen wie Clowns, haben es auf Menschen abgesehen, die sie in Zuckerwatte einwickeln und fressen. Ohne Gnade dringen die Killerclowns in das nahe Dorf ein und beschaffen sich menschliche Nahrungsvorräte. Einzig Polizist Dave erkennt die Gefahr und nimmt zusammen mit Debbie und Mike den Kampf gegen die bunten Invasoren auf. Es kommt zum großen Showdown im Freizeitpark...

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.4/10, Space Invaders has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $43.6M at the box office.
