What it’s about. Dino ist ein großer Sänger und Star in den USA. Er spielt nur vor ausverkauftem Haus und die Frauen liegen ihm zu Füßen. Als er sich gerade auf dem Weg nach einer Show von Las Vegas nach Hollywood befindet, macht er in einem kleinen verschlafenen Städtchen in Nevada halt. Hier wird er von den beiden Hobby-Musikern Orville und Barney erkannt. Die beiden wittern ihre große Chance auf den eigenen Durchbruch und wollen Dino über Nacht in ihrer Stadt behalten. Dazu legen sie sein Auto lahm und setzen Orvilles Ehefrau Polly auf Dino an, damit diese den Schürzenjäger um den Finger wickelt. Dann wollen sie Dino überzeugen, dass er mit ihren geschriebenen Songs auftritt, damit sie endlich zu ihrem Ruhm kommen. Doch natürlich verläuft nicht alles nach Plan...
