Released in 2008, Violanchelo is a thriller and liebesfilm film directed by Alfonso Pineda Ulloa, running about 85 minutes. “Who dreams about you?” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. Chelo hat buchstäblich einen 'Traummann': in ihren Phantasien malt sie sich eine liebevolle Beziehung aus. Eines Tages geht sie zur Polizei und zeigt eine vorgetäuschte Vergewaltigung an, um per Phantombild nach ihm suchen zu lassen. Tatsächlich findet die Polizei den 'Täter': Ein Arzt, der kurz vor der Heirat steht, gleicht dem Phantombild aufs Haar. Doch auch der Arzt träumt: Er hat Albträume, die von Chelo handeln. Bald begegnen sich beide, und eine Eskalation von Annäherungen und Bedrohungen führt schließlich dazu, dass Chelo seine Verlobte umbringt. Intelligent gemacht, zunächst aus ihrer, dann aus seiner Sicht geschildert, fügen sich die verschiedenen Mosaiksteinchen bald schlüssig zusammen.
