What it’s about. Britisch-Indien, 1895. Der Gouverneur Sir Sidney Ruff-Diamond verwaltet die Kolonie Kalabar im Namen der britischen Krone. Als aber der afghanische Verbündete Khasis, der furchteinflößende Krieger Bungdit Din, bei einer listigen Aktion am Khyber-Pass entdeckt, dass die "Teufel in Röcken" doch Unterwäsche tragen, ist es um den Mythos ihrer Unbesiegbarkeit geschehen. Ausgerechnet Joan, die Gattin des Gouverneurs, vernarrt in den Khasi, spielt eben diesem ein Beweisfoto zu. Die Briten setzten eine geheime Mission zur Vernichtung des Fotos an. Erfolglos, wie es scheint. Doch Hilfe kommt aus den Reihen der Inder - die Tochter des Khasis, die hübsche Jelhi hat ein Auge auf Captain Keene geworfen ...
