What it’s about. Dr. Sturdy errichtet im Dschungel ein Hospital mit moderner Medizin. Er heilt die nahewohnenden Eingeborenen mit Erfolg, zieht jedoch dadurch den Zorn des Medizinmannes Futa auf sich, der seine Macht schwinden sieht. Als der junge Häuptling erkrankt, will Futa beweisen, dass seine Macht größer ist als die von Dr. Sturdy und lässt durch seinen Gefolgsmann Ramo Medizin aus dem Hospital stehlen, die er selbst nutzen will. Ramo stiehlt jedoch nicht Medizin, sondern ein starkes Gift. Tarzan versucht nun Futa aufzuhalten und den jungen Häuptling zu retten und gerät dabei in Lebensgefahr.
