What it’s about. Die neunjährige Katja ist ein ungewöhnliches Mädchen. Statt mit anderen Kindern zu spielen, stromert sie lieber allein im Wald herum und beobachtet Vögel. Eines Tages fällt bei einem Sturm ein junger Falke aus dem Nest. Mit dem Vogel sucht Katja Schutz vor Wind und Regen auf der Ladefläche eines Lastwagens. Pech nur, dass der Laster auf dem Weg in eine kleine italienische Hafenstadt ist und dort angekommen als erstes ihr Falke ausreißt! Doch dann lernt Katja den kleinen Carlo und seine Brüder kennen. Gemeinsam gelingt es ihnen, den Vogel wiederzufinden und vor einem Tierpräparator zu retten.
