What it’s about. Vier Freunde aus einem Dorf im Punjab haben einen gemeinsamen Traum: Sie wollen nach England gehen. Ihr Problem ist, dass sie weder das Visum noch das Ticket haben. Ein Soldat verspricht ihnen, sie in das Land ihrer Träume zu bringen. Dunki ist eine witzige und herzerwärmende Geschichte über eine gefährliche Reise, Grenzen, Freundschaften, Heimweh und die Liebe, die über allem steht. Der Film basiert auf einer illegalen Einwanderungstechnik namens „Donkey Flight“. Regie führt Rajkumar Hirani, der gemeinsam mit Abhijat Joshi und Kanika Dhillon das Drehbuch schrieb und Shah Rukh Khan glänzt in der Hauptrolle.
