What it’s about. Frankreich, Januar 2001. Ein Mann landet nachts heimlich in Calais. Die französische Geheimpolizei DST beobachtet seine Ankunft. Er heißt Aram Sarkissian und ist ein ehemaliger Aktivist der armenischen Freiheitsbewegung aus der Konfliktregion von Bergkarabach, der für die armenische Sache in Frankreich gekämpft hat. Jetzt will er mit einer kurdischen Untergrundorganisation einen Waffenhandel abschließen; mehr noch: Er ist hier, um ein Familiendrama zu rächen. Im Oktober 1993, vor mehr als sieben Jahren, wurde sein jüngerer Bruder Levon bei einem Terroranschlag auf einen türkischen General in Paris schwer verletzt und sitzt seither stumm und gelähmt in einem Rollstuhl. Der Vater machte Aram für den Anschlag verantwortlich und hat ihn verbannt.
