What it’s about. Die Sängerin Deborah McCoy reist als blinde Passagierin auf einem Handelsschiff mit. Als der Kahn von Piraten gekapert wird, wird Debbie von dem smarten Seeräuber Baptiste entdeckt an dem sie sofort Gefallen findet. Was sie aber erst später erfährt ist, dass es sich bei Baptiste in Wirklichkeit um Kapitän Robert Kingston handelt, der seine Beute an die Bedürftigen verteilt, wenn er sie erstmal dem ruchlosen Kaufmann Narbonne entrissen hat. In Narbonnes Augen ist Kingston ein Hochstapler der hinter Schloss und Riegel gehört. Schließlich landet Kingston tatsächlich hinter Gittern. Wird Debbie ihre große Liebe befreien können?
