What it’s about. Am 31. Juli 2021 gibt die britische Multiinstrumentalistin, Sängerin und Komponistin Joan Armatrading ihr einziges Livekonzert für das Jahr 2021 in der Asylum Chapel in London. Das Konzert wird als Livestream weltweit ausgestrahlt. Im Mittelpunkt stehen ihre Songs des aktuellen 22. Albums, „Consequences“, für das sie alle Instrumente selbst eingespielt und als Produzentin die Tonmischung verantwortet hat. Die Idee dazu bekam sie bei einer Zusammenarbeit mit Bassist Pino Palladino, der ihr klarmachte, dass sie ohnehin schon alles selbst mache – warum dann nicht gleich die Produktion übernehmen?
