What it’s about. Im Jahre 1986 kommt es zu einem Gipfeltreffen zwischen Gorbatschow und Reagan in Island. Zur selben Zeit kommt es vor der Küste der Bermudas zur Kollision zwischen einem sowjetischen U-Boot, daß Nuklearwaffen an Bord hat, und einem amerikanischen Atom-U-Boot. Das sowjetische U-Boot ist so stark beschädigt, daß eine nukleare Katastrophe droht. Unter Einsatz ihres Lebens versuchen Captain Igor Britanow und seine Besatzung, diese Katastrophe zu verhindern....
