What it’s about. New York 1995: Shoes (George Griffith) beginnt einen stinknormalen Arbeitstag in einem Stripclub, aber sein Job ist nicht der des Betreibers oder des DJs. Seit mittlerweile drei Jahren ist er hinter der Tür der Herrentoilette tätig. Er kümmert sich um frische Handtücher, dreht den Wasserhahn für die Kunden auf und zu und steht seinen Besuchern auch mal mit einem guten Rat oder aufmunternden Worten zur Seite. Alle kommen sie im Laufe des Abends in Shoes kleines Reich: von wohlhabenden Geschäftsleuten über durchschnittliche, verheiratete Ehemänner bis hin zu kleinen Gangstern.
