Ein plötzlicher Stromausfall, Freunde, die auf dem Weg zu ihr spurlos verschwinden, ein Fremder, der auf ihrem Grundstück herumschleicht - Jessie ist sich ihres Lebens nicht mehr sicher. Da entdeckt sie, daß ihr Holzbeil und ihre Sense nicht mehr da sind. Die Nacht bricht herein, Jessie macht sich ein heißes Bad, da hört sie in der Küche scheppernde Geräusche...
