What it’s about. Auf der Suche nach einer Arbeitsstelle hatte Tamako wahrscheinlich nicht erwartet, dass sie schon bald in einem Vorstellungsgespräch in einem Ramen-Restaurant voller Katzen landen wird. Dabei sind die Katzen nicht nur schön anzusehen – sie sind es, die den Laden allein schmeißen. Auf die Frage des schnurrenden Managers hin, ob Tamako Katzen möge, antwortet sie unverblümt, dass sie zwar Katzen möge, aber eher ein Hundemensch sei … was ihr direkt die Festanstellung einbringt! Statt aber wie in der Stellenbeschreibung Ramen zu servieren, muss sie sich fortan um die dort lebenden Katzen kümmern …
