What it’s about. Der extrem effiziente, amerikanische Black-Ops-Scharfschütze Jon Bryant und sein Spotter Marco Miller werden in der Ukraine an die russische Grenze geschickt. Dort sollen sie den Anführer einer umstürzlerischen Terrorzelle ausschalten. Durch fehlerhafte Informationen von ihrem Hauptquartier erschießt Bryant versehentlich einen Zivilisten. Die Terroristen werden dadurch allerdings aufgeschreckt und beginnen, das Duo durch die eisige Landschaft zu verfolgen. Eine tödliche Jagd nimmt ihren Lauf, bei der es das Duo auch mit Sveta Oliynyk, einer brillanten Sniperin aufseiten der Russen, zu tun bekommt. Doch da ist noch etwas Anderes, etwas Unheimliches und Monströses – hungrig und gnadenlos entschlossen. Ist diese unmenschliche Bedrohung real oder lediglich eine Manifestierung der verwirrten Psyche des von Schuldgefühlen geplagten Bryant?
