What it’s about. Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) ist mittlerweile Gouverneur von Kalifornien und muss mit dem Vorwurf leben, dass zu viele öffentliche Schulen in sozial schwachen Gebieten geschlossen würden – was negative Auswirkungen auf Klassengrößen an anderen Schulen und Bildungsqualität habe. Um sich aus dem heißen Wasser zu befreien, startet er eine Initiative, durch die betroffene Schüler nun in den besten Schulen des Bundesstaates unterrichtet werden sollen – auch auf der Bayside High. Dort ist unter anderem Zacks eigener Sohn Schüler: Mac Morris (Mitchell Hoog, „Harriet“). Der wird als gutaussehend und charmant beschrieben, allerdings ist er auch ziemlich verwöhnt. Eine weitere zentrale Rolle hat Josie Totah („Champions“) erhalten, die Cheerleaderin Lexi spielt: Das attraktivste Mädchen der Schule, das gleichsam bewundert wie gefürchtet wird.
