What it’s about. 1812. Leutnant Grigori Rylski soll Kutuzow geheime Dokumente überbringen. Sobald diese beim Feldherrn eintreffen, wird die russische Armee zum Angriff übergehen. Doch auf dem Weg zum Hauptquartier wird der Leutnant von einem Mädchen vom Lande abgelenkt und findet sich plötzlich in der Zukunft wieder – in der Wohnung des jungen Wissenschaftlers Dmitri Schurawlew und seiner Frau Katja, die kurz vor der Scheidung stehen. Bei dem Versuch, den Husar in die Vergangenheit zurückzubringen, geht die Zeitmaschine kaputt, und der Leutnant muss im 21. Jahrhundert bleiben, bis der Wissenschaftler die Maschine repariert hat.
