What it’s about. Die Anime-Serie Phantom in the Twilight spielt im London der Neuzeit, wo sogenannte Shadows durch die Ängste und Sorgen der Menschen geboren werden. Ein junges Mädchen, das zum Studium ins Ausland gezogen ist, findet sich an ihrer neuen Universität inmitten seltsamer Vorfälle wieder. Ohne jegliche Bekanntschaft an die sie sich wenden könnte, irrt das Mädchen durch die Straßen Londons und findet sich plötzlich im Café Forbidden wieder. Dort trifft sie auf eine Reihe von attraktiven und ebenso mysteriösen Mitarbeitern. Das Café ist ein mystischer Ort, der ausschließlich zur Mitternacht geöffnet ist und wo sich Wächter versammeln, die die Grenze zwischen der Menschenwelt und derjenigen der Shadows bewachen.
