What it’s about. 1978: Der Kriminelle David Slaney sitzt seit einem schief gelaufenen Drogenschmuggel in einem Gefängnis in New Brunswick. Nach fünf Jahren ohne Freiheit und ohne die Liebe seines Lebens gelingt David schließlich die Flucht. Denn mit seinem ehemaligen Partner Brian will David einen letzten Deal abschließen, der ihm endgültig die Freiheit garantieren würde. Doch in Davids Umfeld ist Vertrauen ein großer Fehler und auch die Justiz ist ihm bereits auf den Fersen.
