What it’s about. August 1980: Baseball-Spieler Jake hat gerade sein Abitur gemacht und beginnt nun sein Studium an einer Universität im südöstlichen Texas. Zusammen schlagen sie sich auf ausgelassenen Parties und in Clubs aller Couleur die Nächte um die Ohren, wenn sie nicht gerade zusammen Baseball spielen. Als Jake eines Tages die schöne Beverly kennenlernt, weiß er gar nicht mehr, wo ihm der Kopf steht...
