What it’s about. Nur für eine Erbschaftsangelegenheit verläßt der Abenteuerer Aley Heyst die selbstgewählte Isolation auf einer verlassenen Insel und läuft den nächstgelegenen Hafen an. Als er zurückkehrt, bringt er die schöne Alma mit in die Einsamkeit - und damit auch jede Menge Probleme: Das junge Mädchen war dem skrupellosen Hotelier Schomberg versprochen. Schombergs Zorn läßt schon wenig später drei zweifelhafte Gestalten auf Heysts Insel anlegen. Diese geben sich zwar als Schiffbrüchige aus, haben es unter der Führung des diabolischen Mr. Jones aber nur auf Heysts Reichtümer und Alma abgesehen. Ein mörderisches Katz-und-Maus-Spiel beginnt...
