Yokhin quickly takes a liking to Keng because she’s obviously hardworking, honest and brave; she works very hard to take care of her sick mother, her grandmother and her indebted father but never gets out from the right path. Yokhin invites Keng to work for him, mistakenly believing she’s a boy. Keng lets him think so because she’s afraid he won’t let her work for him if he knows she’s a girl.
