Doras ohnehin labiler Geisteszustand verschlechtert sich, als Marco beginnt, sich seltsam zu verhalten, und sie schließlich zu der Überzeugung kommt, dass er vom Geist ihres ersten Ehemanns besessen ist. Die Lage spitzt sich zu, als sie herausfindet, wie Carlo wirklich ums Leben kam.
