What it’s about. Im Psychothriller Gone ist es gerade einmal zwei Jahre her, dass Jill Parrish ihr Leben retten konnte. Ein Serienmörder versuchte sie umzubringen, doch Jill konnte fliehen. Der Täter wurde nie gefasst und die Polizei begann an Jills Geschichte und der Existenz des Killers zu zweifeln. Als eines Abends ihre Schwester Molly verschwunden ist, glaubt Jill nicht an einen Zufall. Sie ist überzeugt, dass der selbe Psychopath wie damals seine Schwester entführt hat. Doch die Polize hält sie für paranoid und glaubt nicht an eine Entführung durch ein Phantom. Sie besteht auf die 12 Stunden Regel, wonach Personen erst nach dieser Zeit offiziell als vermisst gelten. Keiner will ihr Glauben und jede Sekunde zählt, um Mollys Leben zu retten. Jill begiebt sie sich selbst auf die Suche.

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.2/10, Gone has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $18.1M at the box office.
