What it’s about. Harriet „Harry“ Korn (Kathy Bates) ist eine sehr streitbare Anwältin. Nachdem sie bei einer großen Patentrechtsfirma rausfliegt, gründet sie in einer nicht gerade ruhigen Gegend eine kleine Kanzlei für Strafrecht. Da der Vormieter der Räumlichkeiten, ein Schuhverkäufer, jede Menge seines Inventars zurückgelassen hat, entscheidet die forsche Assistentin von Harry, Jenna Backstrom (Brittany Snow), nebenbei auch Fußbekleidung zu verkaufen. Juristisch unterstützt wird Harry von ihrem Kollegen Adam Branch (Nate Corddry), der sich der mürrischen Anwältin gerade zu aufdrängt. Außerdem hilft Malcom Davies (Aml Ameen), der eigentlich Selbstmord begehen wollte aus, wenn die Kanzlei Hilfe braucht.
