What it’s about. Wegen einer Formkrise reist der Star-Schlagmann der Lycaons-Baseballmannschaft, Hiromichi Kojima, nach Okinawa, um dort zu trainieren. Dort begegnet ihm ein Pitcher namens Toua Tokuchi, der nicht nur für seine rasend schnellen Würfe bekannt ist, sondern auch der ungekrönte König des Baseball-Wettspiels »One Out.« Kojima überredet den talentierten jungen Mann den Lycaons beizutreten - allerdings erhält er einen sehr ungewöhnlichen Vertrag: jedes erzielte Out bringt ihm fünf Millionen Yen, für jeden Punkt, der gegen ihn erzielt wird, verliert er jedoch fünfzig Millionen!
