What it’s about. Als Kippei von der Schule nach Hause kommt, begrüßt ihn an der Tür seine fünf Jahre alte Cousine Yuzuyu. Kippeis Tante Miyako ist verschwunden und hat ihre Tochter alleine zurückgelassen. Nun liegt es an Kippeis Familie, für Yuzuyu zu sorgen und der Einzige, der genügend Zeit hat, ist Kippei. Obwohl er lieber mit Mädchen ausgegangen wäre, kümmert sich Kippei nun um Yuzuyu. Schnell muss er aber einsehen, dass es nicht leicht ist, auf ein Kind aufzupassen. Um rechtzeitig zum Kindergarten zu kommen, das Essen vorzubereiten, oder mit Yuzuyu zu spielen, muss Kippei sein ganzen Leben umstellen. Kippei und Yuzuyu werden bald unzertrennlich, doch weiß Kippei, dass niemand Yuzuyus Mutter ersetzen kann. Doch Miyako ist immer noch verschwunden und niemand weiß, wann und ob sie zurückkommen wird...
