What it’s about. In Full Moon wo Sagashite geht es um Mitsuki, die unter einer Krebserkankung leidet. Eine Operation wäre möglich, doch dies lehnt sie ab, da die Gefahr besteht ihre Stimme zu verlieren und somit ihr Wunsch Sängerin zu werden, sich erledigt hätte. Eines Tages tauchen zwei Shinigami auf, Meroko und Takuto. Die beiden sind ganz schön verwirrt, da Mitsuki sie sehen kann und dies normalerweise nicht möglich ist. Dann verplappern sich die beiden auch noch und so erfährt Mitsuki, dass sie in einem Jahr sterben soll. Takuto hat Mitleid mit ihr und gewährt ihr einen Wunsch: Bei einem Casting macht er sie älter, damit sie daran teilnehmen kann. Die Jury ist begeistert von Mitsuki und so wird sie ausgewählt.
