What it’s about. Sandokan verliebt sich in Marianna und kämpft um sie, tatsächlich feiern sie am Ende Hochzeit. Er muss sich aber zunächst gegen ihren Onkel und den Baron, der ihr den Hof macht, durchsetzen. Sein Hauptwidersacher ist aber Raja James Brooke, der die Dayaken - Einheimische Borneos - gegen ihn einsetzt. Inzwischen wird Tremal-Naiks kleine Tochter Darma von den Thugs nach Indien entführt. Tremal-Naik bittet seine Freunde Sandokan und Yanez um Hilfe. Ihnen gelingt es, Darma zu befreien. In Indien lernt Yanez seine Surama kennen. Am Ende sind alle Freunde in Malaysia vereint und der böse Raja erledigt.
