Nanako beginnt das Gymnasium Seiran zu besuchen und wird in die Sorority gewählt, eine angesehene Schülerorganisation, deren Mitglieder aus gutem Haus sein müssen, intelligent, schön, edel und vor allem den älteren Schülerinnen gefallen. Viele ihrer Mitschülerinnen sind neidisch auf sie, vor allem, weil Lady Miya, die Präsidentin, sie bevorzugt. Sie schikanieren sie, wo es nur geht. Der Grund, warum Lady Miya sich so für Nanako einsetzt, ist, dass sie sie von ihrem Bruder, Takehiko Henmi, der eigentlich gar nicht ihr Bruder ist und dem Nanako nur Briefe schreibt, wegbringen möchte.
