What it’s about. Krankenschwester Maria will der Familie einer eben verstorbenen Patientien gerade die Todesnachricht überbringen, als sie in deren Haus den schmierigen Vertreter Lothar trifft. Als sie unter häufigen Blutungen und unerträglichen Schmerzen leidet, entschließt sie sich zu einer Abtreibung. Unterdessen schwängert Lothar, der sich nun Gustav nennt, eine Kollegin Marias, die bald darauf stirbt. Maria hegt einen schrecklichen Verdacht und versucht gemeinsam mit ihrem Chef, dem dunklen Geheimnis von Lothar auf die Spur zu kommen.
