What it’s about. Anna, die als kleines Kind miterleben mußte, wie ihr Vater ihre Mutter erstach, weil sie dahinterkam, daß er der berüchtigte Jack the Ripper war, lebt mittlerweile bei ihrer Tante, die ihr Geld damit verdient, daß sie Anna an wohlhabende Männer vermietet. Als Anna nach einer gewaltätigen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Regierungsbeamten Mr. Dysart ihre Tante angreift und sie einem Schürhaken aufspießt, kommt sie in die Obhut des Freud-Schülers Dr. John Pritchard. Alles scheint sich zum Guten zu wenden, bis Anna bei den Vorbereitungen zu der Hochzeit von Dr. Pritchards Sohn die Zofe auf blutige Weise abschlachtet, die ihr ein Medallion umhängen wollte. Überzeugt davon, daß dieses Schmuckstück eine Rolle bei Annas gefährlichen Persönlichkeitsveränderung spielt, beginnt Dr. Pritchard mit der Untersuchung von Annas Vergangenheit. Nicht ahnend, dass er damit für sich und seine Familie die Büchse der Pandora öffnet.
