What it’s about. Aus Rache für den Mord an seinem Vater tötet Pancho Villa einen Aufseher, geht in die Berge und wird Bandit. 1910 freundet er sich mit dem Reporter Johnny Sykes an. Die Begegnung mit dem visionären Francisco Madero verändert sein Leben. Villa wird zum Freiheitskämpfer, der mit Madero gegen Diktator Porfirio Díaz kämpft. Zur Melodie von "La Cucaracha" überschwemmen seine Männer Mexiko. Als Madero Präsident ist, schickt er den Guerillero Villa ins Exil. Nach Maderos Ermordung ist Villa erneut gefordert. Er kommt 1923 bei einem Attentat ums Leben.
