What it’s about. Zehn lange Jahre hat Renato Latorre darauf gewartet, seine Jugendliebe Irene wiederzusehen. Während er verschollen war, hat sie den gut situierten Anwalt Massimo Ruska geheiratet. Krankhaft eifersüchtig beobachtet er jeden Schritt seiner jungen Frau und so entgeht ihm auch nicht ein heimliches Rendezvous. Wie von Sinnen stößt er die Schneiderin Pacetti, in deren Salon sich die beiden treffen, beiseite, um Irene in flagranti zu ertappen. Die alte Dame ist auf der Stelle tot. Blitzschnell erkennt Ruska, dass er den Totschlag dem jungen Nebenbuhler anlasten kann.
