Mit einem U-Boot gelangen er und ein Komplize nach Amerika. Dort werden sie vom FBI gejagt. Bald darauf ist Gimpel auf sich allein gestellt. Auf der Flucht verliebt er sich in die Amerikanerin Joan, die nichts von seiner Agententätigkeit ahnt. Schließlich wird Gimpel gefasst und zum Tode verurteilt...
