What it’s about. Der US Offizier Glen Manning wird bei einer Plutoniumexplosion einer großen Menge Strahlung ausgesetzt. Er wächst daraufhin mehrere Meter am Tag. Als Wissenschaftler feststellen, das sein Herz nicht im selben Maße wächst wie sein Körper, und er somit baldigen Tod geweiht ist, verfällt er in starke Depressionen und bricht aus dem Militärstützpunkt aus. Bald schon häufen sich die Meldungen von einem riesigen, menschenähnlichen Wesen, das eine Spur der Vernichtung hinter sich herzieht. Als Manning sich Las Vegas nähert, beschließt das Militär ihn aufzuhalten.....
