Als sich ihnen die gerade gefeuerte Kellnerin Junell (Robin Mattson) anschließt, gerät der ursprüngliche Plan allerdings ein wenig aus den Fugen. Diese hat es nämlich faustdick hinter den Ohren und bessert die Reisekasse auch gerne mal mittels Schusswaffe auf. Von Polizei und Provinz-Rowdies gejagt, gestaltet sich der Weg nach Kalifornien immer schwerer...
