What it’s about. Die fünfköpfige amerikanische Familie Willard erfüllt sich einen langgehegten Traum, einmal nach Europa, speziell nach Paris zu reisen. Doch die Eltern Harry und Katie müssen schon kurz vor der Abfahrtund während der Schiffsreise feststellen, daß mit zwei Teenagern und einem jüngeren Kind die große Erholung wohl nicht möglich sein wird, vor allem weil die Kinder langsam aber sicher auch das andere Geschlecht entdecken. Das ist aber noch gar nichts gegen die Schwierigkeiten, die vor Ort in Paris entstehen, als Harry in der Kanalisation verloren geht und später ein Gigolo sich an seine Frau heranmacht. Auch die Begegnung mit einer Gräfin, zufällig die Mutter von Tochter Amys neuem Freund Nick verläuft nicht unfallfrei. Es ist also ein langer Weg bis zu einem romantischen Moment in der Pariser Luft...
