What it’s about. Samantha (Najarra Townsend) ist eine junge Frau in ihren 20ern. Sie leidet unter ihrer dominanten Mutter (Caroline Williams) und wird ständig von ihrer besten Freundin Alice (Alice MacDonald) in Anspruch genommen. Und auch in ihrem Liebesleben läuft es nicht rund. Samanthas Geliebte Nikki (Katie Stegeman) wirkt abwesend und uninteressiert an ihren Problemen. Eines Abends begibt sie sich auf eine Party und schläft, nachdem sie sich völlig betrunken hat, mit einem ihr unbekannten Mann. Als sie am nächsten Morgen aufwacht, fühlt sie sich unwohl und befürchtet, dass sie sich eine Geschlechtskrankheit zugezogen hat. Doch ihr Arzt kann zunächst nichts Ungewöhnliches feststellen. Als ihre Symptome immer schlimmer werden und sogar ihr Haar auszufallen beginnt, ist jedoch klar, dass sie sich ihre Schmerzen nicht einbildet. Doch nicht nur Samanthas Äußeres verändert sich dramatisch, auch ihrer Familie und Freunden gegenüber wird sie immer aggressiver, bis diese sie kaum noch wiedererkennen.
