What it’s about. Katharina (65) schlägt sich mit Haushaltsauflösungen und der Betreuung des neunjährigen Georg mehr schlecht als recht durch. Konrad (70) kennt sie bereits von früher, als sie noch Taxi fuhr und sie ihn und seine kranke Frau regelmäßig ins Krankenhaus brachte. Jetzt ist Konrads Frau tot und Katharina wurde von ihrem Mann wegen einer Jüngeren verlassen. Als sich Katharina und Konrad zufällig wieder sehen, fühlen sich beide sehr voneinander angezogen und ihrem Liebesglück steht nichts mehr im Wege außer Konrads drohende Erblindung. Da die Krankenkasse die nötige Operation nicht bezahlen will und weder Konrad noch Katharina das Geld dafür aufbringen können, bietet sich Katharinas Schützling Georg freiwillig als Entführungsopfer an.
