What it’s about. Chloe und Tochter Sophia betreiben ein heruntergekommenes Motel an einer einsamen Autobahnraststätte. Als Motelbesitzerin steckt Chloe in finanziellen Schwierigkeiten, was Billy, ein korrupter Polizist, schamlos ausnutzt. Eines Nachts macht Topo, ein Berufsverbrecher, Zwischenstop beim Motel auf der Fahrt zu einer Geldübergabe an einen unbekannten Gangsterboss. Nachdem sein Wagen beschlagnahmt und sein Geld gestohlen wurde, nimmt Topo Chloe und Sophia als Geiseln und zwingt Chloe ihm zu helfen, Billy zu verfolgen, der sein Geld aus dem Auto gestohlen hat. In der Hoffnung auf ein besseres Leben versucht Chloe mit Topo einen Deal auszuhandeln, was jedoch gründlich schiefgeht. Eine Serie von doppelten Spielen enden in einem Blutbad.
