Terry Nation war ein britischer Drehbuchautor. Bekannt wurde er vor allem durch seine Beiträge zur Originalserie „Doctor Who“, für die er die „Daleks“ erschuf, die später zu den Erzfeinden des Doktors wurden und bis heute eine wiederkehrende Bedrohung in der Serie darstellen. Zu seinen weiteren Werken zählen Drehbücher für die Fernsehserien „Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone“ und „MacGyver“.
