A middle-aged man sits on a bench at the airport, his laptop open and enjoying a chat. Sugata Toshio, who works for an insurance company, has left Tokyo and is on a solo assignment in Hokkaido as a branch manager. Today is the day his wife, Reiko, is coming from Tokyo for the first time in six months.
