Fire! (2021)

Maris leaves his village and joins a Wehrmacht auxiliary unit. Together with other villagers, he receives weapons and becomes a soldier. They live in barracks inside a monastery. The spiritual nature of the place almost justifies crimes that thetroops commit and, in a way, grants them approval from higher forces. The boundary between the Exalted and the Terrible disappears. And while most soldiers are at peace with themselves, Maris cannot sleep. He is tortured by apparitions, the most horrific of which are visions of the future.
